Convergex Adds More Ex-KCG Employees by Hiring Palumbo, Draizen

(Bloomberg) — Convergex Group LLC has hired Nick Palumbo and Troy Draizen for its sales department, adding to the list of former KCG Holdings Inc. employees whove joined the broker.

Palumbo came aboard Convergex this month as senior vice president in the electronic sales group, while Draizen is a managing director in charge of electronic sales, according to spokesman Michael Kingsley.

New York-based Convergex, which provides trading services to institutional investors, has been filling out its management ranks since Chief Executive Officer Eric Noll joined from Nasdaq OMX Group Inc. in late 2013. In August, the firm appointed Greg Voetsch as CEO of Convergex Execution Solutions and head of brokerage services. Though he joined from Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, Voetsch previously worked as an executive vice president at Knight Capital Group, a predecessor to KCG Holdings Inc.

In January, Convergex announced the hires of Philip Gough and John Holl in London. Gough, CEO of the firms London-based brokerage, was chief operating officer at KCG Europe, while Holl, whos head of sales and trading in London, was head of European institutional equities at KCG.
