BTIG Expands Transition Management, Hires Howell to Boost Business

The brokerage hired Daniel Howell as a director with a simple mandate: spearhead the transition groups growth and provide direction to the companys existing staff.

BTIG is growing its transition management business and hired a senior executive to help boost business.

The firm has hired Daniel Howell as a director who will be based in New York. His job is simple – spearhead the transition groups growth and provide direction to the companys existing staff. He joins industry-veterans Kenneth Temple, CFA, Director, and Adrienne Schaefer, Senior Vice President.

With his industry experience, Daniel brings tremendous value to the firm while complementing the talent of our existing Transition Management team, said Thomas Smykowski, Managing Director and Head of Global Portfolio and ETF Trading at BTIG.

Howell will focus on business development efforts within the transition management space. His client coverage areas will include public and private pensions, corporations, fund managers, Taft-Hartley plans, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and foundations of all sizes around the globe.

He spent the last eight years in similar roles at BNY Mellon Asset Servicing and Citigroup Global Capital Markets.

At BTIG, Howell will report to Thomas Smykowski.
