ON THE MOVE: Grove Point Financial Hires Denise McGee; Helen Lofthouse to ASX

Denise McGee

Grove Point Financial, a boutique independent broker-dealer and registered investment adviser (RIA) platform, has hired Denise McGee as Senior Vice President of Advisor Solutions. Leveraging 26 years of experience, McGee will dedicate much of her time to increasing the adoption of Grove Point Financial’s technology, advisory and brokerage platforms, and serve as the primary relationship manager for Financial Professionals utilizing these core offerings. Prior to this role, McGee served as Vice President and Growth Officer at Cetera Advisor Networks.


Helen Lofthouse

Helen Lofthouse has been appointed Managing Director and CEO of ASX, effective August 1, 2022. Lofthouse is currently ASX’s Group Executive Markets, ASX’s largest business by revenue, responsible for cash and derivatives trading, including equities, interest rates, commodities and energy products, and the benchmarks business and international sales. She joined ASX in September 2015 as a member of the executive leadership team. 

Ronne Froman-Blue

Ronne Froman-Blue, the retired US Navy Rear Admiral, has joined TradeSun’s Board of Directors to support and steer the company in its mission to fight financial crime in trade. Following her retirement from the Navy, Froman-Blue has held high-profile positions in San Diego, including the first Chief Operating Officer for the city; Chief of Business Operations for the San Diego Unified School District; and CEO of the local unit of the American Red Cross. 

Neeraj Karhade has joined ACA Group, a governance, risk, and compliance advisor in financial service, as Chief Financial Officer. Karhade has over 20 years of experience in finance, private equity, organizational transformation, and business operations. Most recently, he worked as CFO of Transformco where he had responsibility for the company’s financial functions, including financial reporting, audit and compliance, treasury, tax, strategic planning, and corporate finance. 

Elemental Cognition, an AI company, has announced two new additions to its leadership team: Joe Demmler as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Ken Wolf as Executive Vice President of Sales. Demmler was previously a Managing Director with Accenture Strategy and a Partner with PwC Advisory, where he specialized in B2B sales and marketing optimization in both roles. Wolf previously served as President and COO of PacketViper. He has also held senior executive positions at RedZone Robotics and Confluence.

Accelex, a SaaS platform redefining alternative investment data, has announced two key additions to its global sales team. Simon Tang has joined the company as its new Director of Business Development in North America and Marco Loiacono as the new Director of EMEA Sales, based in London. Prior to joining Accelex, Tang spent nearly a decade as a director at CEPRES, a private markets data and analytics firm, where he opened the firm’s first office in the APAC region and spearheaded new client acquisition and business development. Loiacono brings over 10 years of experience in sales roles in financial technology markets, covering both private markets software and data businesses. He joins Accelex from IHS Markit, where he most recently served as Sales Director, Private Markets. 

Smarsh, a digital communications compliance and intelligence provider, has appointed Kim Crawford Goodman as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Goodman, a recognized financial services and technology industry leader with more than 25 years of experience, will succeed Brian Cramer and lead the company into its next stage of global growth. Cramer will join the Smarsh board of directors. Prior to joining Smarsh, Goodman was Head of Payments and Risk Solutions at Fiserv.
