Liquid Launches Co-Invest

New York | May 26, 2026 — Liquid today announced the launch of Co-Invest, an app that enables users to analyze markets and execute real trades directly inside AI assistants including ChatGPT and Claude. For the first time, a retail trader can move from market question to live order without leaving the conversation.

Earlier this year, OpenAI launched personal finance tools inside ChatGPT, connecting bank accounts and portfolio data for millions of users. Co-Invest brings the next step: the ability to act on that analysis in real time, across crypto, equities, FX, prediction markets, and pre-IPO secondaries, all without switching tools.

“Every day, millions of people are already using AI to think through markets,” said Franklyn Wang, CEO and founder of Liquid. “They ask questions, process information, weigh tradeoffs. Then they close the window and go somewhere else to actually trade. That gap is the problem we’re solving. The interface where you think should be the interface where you act.”

Until now, AI assistants have played a research role in financial markets. Earlier this year, several platforms integrated market data access into ChatGPT, allowing users to retrieve quotes, price history, and other data through natural language. Co-Invest goes further: users can fund an account, analyze a position using primary market data, set risk parameters, and place a live trade, all inside a single conversation.

“The market got data into the conversation,” Wang said. “We brought the trade itself.”

Co-Invest integrates trade execution across crypto, equities, FX, Polymarket prediction market positions, and pre-IPO secondaries across 500+ markets. Users can fund accounts directly within the interface via card, onchain transfer, or external wallet, surface primary market data including onchain wallet activity, funding rates, and order flow, and set risk parameters including stop-loss and take-profit levels, all without leaving the chat.

Co-Invest launches against a backdrop of rapid institutional acknowledgment that AI is reshaping finance at every level. The CEO of one of the world’s largest hedge funds described being “shocked” and “depressed” by the speed of AI’s impact on high-skilled financial work this month, noting that analysis previously requiring weeks of work from PhD-level researchers is now being completed by AI agents in hours.

Wang has been making a related argument for longer. His thesis centers on what economists call rational ignorance: because becoming fully informed costs time and attention most people cannot spare, ordinary investors have historically made worse decisions not from lack of intelligence but from lack of access. Institutional traders had Bloomberg terminals, research desks, and real-time data infrastructure. Retail traders had headlines.

“For most of history, the financial system was very good at taxing the gap between what experts knew and what ordinary people could process,” Wang said. “AI is starting to close that gap. Not by replacing judgment, but by making it less expensive to be informed in the first place.”

Liquid launched in August 2025 and has since processed more than $3 billion in trading volume across roughly 40,000 users. The platform uses a non-custodial architecture and routes trades to underlying venues including Hyperliquid, Lighter, and Ostium.

Co-Invest also represents a new acquisition channel for the platform. Liquid’s existing user base arrived primarily through crypto-native communities and perp DEX discovery. Co-Invest opens a different path: users who already live inside ChatGPT or Claude, who are already using AI to think about markets, and who can now act on those conversations without ever downloading a separate app.

“The next generation of retail traders is not going to start with a brokerage account,” Wang said. “They’re going to start with a question inside an AI assistant. We want Liquid to be the answer.”
