Bruce Markets has announced the appointment of Michael Padnis as Director of Technology and Trading Support. According to a press release, Padnis brings more than a decade of experience across trading technology, client service and onboarding experience. He most recently served as Head of Technology and Trading Support at Blue Ocean Technologies, a role he held since June 2023, prior to which he held several senior trade support and client service roles at Clear Street, REDI EMS and FlexTrade.
Rothschild & Co has announced the appointment of Lucy Baldwin as Global Head of Equities, supporting the continued expansion of the firm’s Global Markets Solutions (GMS) platform and its institutional equities franchise. Baldwin will lead Rothschild & Co’s Global Equities Business, encompassing Sales and Trading, Research and Corporate Access, according to a press release. She joins from Citi, where she has held senior leadership roles spanning global research and markets platforms.
AmerX has expanded its sales and trading team with the appointments of Patrick Malcolm as Managing Director, Sales and Trading, and Kevin Clark as Director, Sales and Trading, according to an email sent to Traders Magazine. Malcolm joins AmerX with more than 25 years of experience across institutional equities, sales trading and investment banking. Most recently, he worked at ROTH Capital Partners covering trading and research sales, including institutional client coverage and capital markets transactions. Prior to that, he served as Executive Director at MKM Partners. Clark also joins from ROTH Capital Partners, where he most recently served as managing director. Before that, he was managing director and co-head of portfolio trading at Cantor Fitzgerald.
Clear Street has announced that Chief Executive Officer Ed Tilly will retire from his executive role next month. He will continue to serve on the Clear Street Board of Directors and will continue in an Advisory role supporting Clear Street’s international relations. Founder and Executive Chairman Uri Cohen, who had previously held the role of Co-Chief Executive Officer in a prior period, will transition into the role of Chief Executive Officer on June 1, 2026.
Digital Asset has named Oberon Knapp as its global head of equities. Knapp joins from the Options Clearing Corporation, where he spent four years and served most recently as head of strategy. According to a press release, he initially joined OCC in April 2022 as executive director of participant solutions within the securities lending team, responsible for developing the strategy and vision for OCC’s securities lending function. Before OCC, Knapp spent time at Brown Brothers Harriman as global head of product and investment operations.
Broadridge Financial Solutions has appointed Richard Terblanche as Vice President, Global Distribution Data Solutions within its growing Data-Driven Fund Solutions business. Based in London, Richard will focus on working with global asset managers to navigate the increasing complexity of client and distribution data across global markets. This newly created role reflects Broadridge’s ongoing investment in supporting clients as they look to optimize distribution and drive growth. According to a press release, he brings over 20 years of experience across investment management and data. He previously held senior roles at Strategic Insight and most recently led the EMEA business at Fishtank, where he worked with asset managers on complex data and distribution challenges.
