Optiver has hired Lawrence Tanzman as a quantitative trader, based in Chicago, according to a LinkedIn post.
Tanzman joined Optiver in March 2026 as firms continue to compete for experienced quantitative trading talent amid growing demand for technology-driven market making and derivatives expertise.
Most recently, he served as a trader at Citadel Securities from July 2011 to March 2026, focused on equity options market making.
Earlier in his career, he completed internships at Citadel Investment Group in its convertibles and options market making businesses, and at Allstate Insurance, where he worked in fixed income research covering investment-grade corporate debt.
