
Optiver has hired Lawrence Tanzman as a quantitative trader, based in Chicago, according to a LinkedIn post. He joins from Citadel Securities, where he served as a trader for over 14 years, focused on equity options market making. Earlier in his career, he completed internships at Citadel Investment Group in its convertibles and options market making businesses, and at Allstate Insurance, where he worked in fixed income research covering investment-grade corporate debt.
B. Riley Securities, Inc. has expanded its New York institutional equities desk with the return of Seamus O’Neill as Senior Sales Trader and the appointment of TJ Bealko to Institutional Equity Sales. According to a press release, O’Neill returns to the firm with more than three decades of experience across institutional equities and options markets, most recently at Outset Global. Bealko joins after senior roles at Bank of America and RBC Capital Markets, bringing experience in institutional equity sales and hedge fund client coverage.

Capitolis has appointed Mary Messer as Head of North America Sales, reporting to Melanie Carucci. According to a press statement, Messer brings more than two decades of banking experience spanning rates, prime brokerage, derivatives clearing, custody, fund services and securities services. Most recently, she served as Managing Director and Head of North America Bank Sales for Securities Services at Citigroup. Prior to Citi, she spent more than 15 years at J.P. Morgan in senior roles across derivatives clearing, collateral management, custody, fund services and rates markets.
Trading Technologies International, Inc. has named Nick Garrow Chief Strategy Officer, a newly created role, while appointing Josh Monroe as Chief Revenue Officer, according to a press release. In his new role, Garrow will oversee strategic growth initiatives, including acquisition and partnership opportunities, as the firm adapts to evolving global capital markets demands. Monroe, based in New York, will lead TT’s global sales, marketing and revenue operations. He joins from Duco, where he served as CRO, and previously held senior leadership roles at Xceptor, Itiviti, Broadridge, SunGard and FIS.
SOLVE has promoted Michael Pellerito to Senior Vice President of Innovation. According to a press release, Pellerito brings a decade of experience at SOLVE, where he has contributed across sales, product development, product management, data, and financial engineering. Prior to joining SOLVE, he held senior roles across the financial industry, including leadership positions at Bloomberg, where he helped develop and scale evaluated pricing models across a wide range of fixed income asset classes.
