Prometheum has appointed David Hunt as Chief Operations Officer of its subsidiary, Prometheum ATS. Hunt oversees operations and trade compliance at Prometheum ATS, an SEC-registered and FINRA member alternative trading system for digital asset securities—securities issued and transferred on blockchain infrastructure. Hunt brings over 25 years of experience leading operations and compliance in financial services, with recent emphasis on integrating blockchain technology into broker-dealer infrastructure. He has held senior leadership and C-suite roles across a range of firms including Securitize Markets, Circle Internet Financial, Allianz Global Investors, and IOI Capital and Markets.
Sage Capital Management has appointed Chris Mills as Head of Digital Assets. Mills joins from JB Drax Honore, where he was Co-Head of Digital Assets, with responsibilities for product development and trade execution. Prior to that, he spent 18 years at the Bank of England, predominantly as an FX and MM Dealer.
Daniel Ciment has joined BNY as Americas Head of Equities Trading & Execution. He is based in New York, reporting to Rob Lynch, Head of Fixed Income and Equities at BNY, and will play a key role in driving the next phase of growth for BNY’s Equities franchise. He joins us from Elwood Technologies, where he served as President & COO, and brings a proven track record of leadership and innovation from his previous roles as COO at IEX Exchange and Global Head of Equities Electronic Trading at JP Morgan.
Ninepoint Partners, one of Canada’s independent investment managers, has hired Karl Cheong as Executive Vice President, Head of ETFs. Cheong brings over 20 years of experience in designing and distributing innovative investment solutions. He held senior leadership roles at Claymore Investments and First Trust, where he played a key role in launching and expanding their ETF businesses across Canada.
Terry Flynn has joined GoldenSource as Managing Director. Flynn joins from financial crime technology firm Fenergo, where he held the role of Managing Director of Asset Management and Insurance. The news follows the appointments of James Corrigan as CEO in September 2024 and Marc Mallett as Chief Commercial Officer in April 2025.
Capitolis has appointed Amol Naik as Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Naik served as COO at Pagaya, where he helped build and scale the company through a successful public company transaction. Prior to that, Naik served a 23-year career at Goldman Sachs where he was a Partner.
