ON THE MOVE: Nasdaq Promotes Dennison to CFO; Ludvik to Goldman Sachs

Nasdaq has promoted Ann Dennison to Chief Financial Officer, effective March 1, 2021. Dennison, currently Nasdaq’s Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, will replace current CFO Michael Ptasznik, who is retiring. In her current role, Dennison is responsible for all areas of the company’s accounting and financial reporting, as well planning and analysis, tax, procurement, and global accounting operations. She has been with Nasdaq for five years and has more than 20 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis. Prior to joining Nasdaq, Dennison worked at Goldman Sachs as Managing Director, Head of Financial Reporting.

Greg Ludvik has joins Goldman Sachs as head of Americas SOR/Liquidity Strategy, overseeing the firm’s new Atlas platform for smart routing and liquidity-seeking products. Ludvik is a 19-year industry veteran, most recently running Global Liquidity Strategy for RBC Capital Markets, with prior stints at FlexTrade and Citigroup.

Bob Stewart has joined DTCC from BBH (Brown Brothers Harriman) as Executive Director of ITP Product Management. Stewart is responsible for leading critical industry initiatives that drive further automation in the institutional post-trade process. He will partner with the industry to achieve the ITP vision and strategy to drive an integrated post-trade lifecycle through settlement finality, develop solutions to help clients prepare and manage CSDR requirements, and focus on the continued adoption of ALERT, DTCC’s standing settlement instruction database.

Dale Brooksbank left his role as head of equities trading at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and will relocate back to the UK, The TRADE reported, citing sources familiar with the matter. Brooksbank was with the sovereign wealth fund’s centralised dealing department for four years, and the division will redistribute Brooksbank’s responsibilities within the existing internal team.

TMX Group Limited introduced Moe Kermani and Claude Tessier as the company’s newest additions to its Board of Directors. Kermani has extensive experience in the technology industry as a senior executive and director of several leading-edge, entrepreneurial companies. He currently serves as Managing Director at Vanedge Capital, an early-stage venture capital fund, where he focuses on investments in cloud computing, machine intelligence, analytics and cybersecurity. Tessier is currently Chief Financial Officer at Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. and has previously held senior leadership positions at Sobeys Inc., Provigo and Costco.

Fintech firm Genesis appointed sales and product strategist Martin Sreba as Global Head of Strategic Accounts. In this new role, Sreba will work in partnership with clients to identify digitisation priorities and accelerate adoption of Genesis Low-Code Application Platform. A veteran of the financial software and services industry, Sreba was with SS&C Advent for 18 years, most recently as Global Head of Product Strategy and Sales, responsible for business growth and product direction for portfolio management solutions.
