ON THE MOVE: Wells Fargo Promotes Christine Cofer and Kristin Maher; Raymond J. McGuire to Lazard

Christine Cofer

Christine Cofer will lead Equity Trading and Kristin Maher will lead Fixed Income Trading in Wealth & Investment Management’s (WIM’s) Investment Solutions center of excellence at Wells Fargo & Company. Cofer and Maher will report to Darrell Cronk, CIO for WIM. Cofer has 27 years of brokerage experience focused on trading and has been with Wells Fargo and its legacy firms for 17 years. She previously led the Best Practices team in Trading and Capital Markets. In addition, she chairs the WIM Capital Markets Best Execution and Trade Oversight Committee and is vice chair of the WIM Volcker Committee. Maher is a 30‑year veteran of Wells Fargo and its legacy organizations. She formerly served as head of Fixed Income Services in Trading and Capital Markets. Maher is a member of the WIM Capital Markets Best Execution Committee, WIM Deal Commitment Committee, and the WIM Volcker Committee.  

Raymond J. McGuire

Raymond J. McGuire has joined Lazard as President, effective April 3. Based in New York, McGuire will serve as a member of the firm’s senior leadership team and will be responsible for further strengthening senior client relationships, attracting talent and expanding Lazard’s reach across the world. McGuire previously served as Vice Chairman of Citigroup and Chairman of its Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory business, after 13 years as its Global Head of Corporate and Investment Banking.

Julie Henkel

Julie Henkel has started a new position as Managing Director, Global Head Securities and Prime Services Operations at BNP Paribas CIB. Henkel is Senior executive banking professional with over 28 years’ experience in Investment Banking, Prime Services and Private Wealth Management Operations. She previously was Global Head, Prime Brokerage and Electronic Execution Operations at BNP Paribas.

Liam Healy has joined the Equity Capital Markets Group at D.A. Davidson as Head of Institutional Equities. Based in Chicago, Healy will oversee Research, Sales & Trading, Corporate Access, Corporate Services, and the Davidson Expert Network. Healy has over 30 years of institutional equity experience on Wall Street, including most recently at William Blair & Company, where he was a Partner and led the New York institutional equity sales group.

Gregg Whitbread has joined FIA Tech in the newly created role of Senior Manager, Global Product Sales. He will be based in London and reports to FIA Tech’s Head of Business Development, Andrew La Manna. Whitbread joins FIA Tech from Euromoney TRADEDATA, where he has spent the last 27 years building out the reference data product offering and sales. Most recently he held the positions of Business Development Director and Global Head of Business Development. His experience within exchange traded derivatives spans reference data, operations and technology.

Clear Street has appointed Conor Foley as Managing Director, Derivatives. He was previously Senior Derivatives Compliance Attorney at Clear Street. Foley is an experienced compliance advisor, lawyer, and risk professional specializing in commodities, financial services, and technology. He presently acts for and advises leading asset managers, banks, broker-dealers, commodity merchandisers, exchange groups, and FinTech companies.
