ON THE MOVE: GMO Gets Dina Santono; Bloomberg Promotes Brad Foster

Dina Santono

Dina Santono has started a new position as Chief Operating Officer at an investment management firm GMO. She joins GMO from Voya Investment Management where she held a similar role. Santoro has been with the firm since 2017, previously serving as senior managing director and head of product and marketing. As COO, she had oversight for marketing, product, data and analytics, client service, operations and technology.

Brad Foster

Brad Foster has been promoted to Head of Fixed Income at Bloomberg. He was previoulsy Head of Enterprise Data Content, a role he held since June 2017. Prior to joining Bloomberg he spent almost 20 years on the sell-side in multiple locations including London, Tokyo and New York for Deutsche Bank as a Managing Director in Global Markets across Global Finance, Fixed Income & Currencies, Structured Finance, Special Situations, Structured Lending and Front Office Risk Management, including CVA and Counterparty Risk where he managed a team that built a Cross-Product Risk and Portfolio Margining Platform (DBGRIP).

Tara Fitzpatrick

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) has promoted Tara Fitzpatrick to Global Head of Content Strategy & Acquisition, ICE Data Services. She was previously Director, Content Strategy & Acquisition for over 11 years. Prior to that she was Compliance Associate at Goldman Sachs.

OCC has promoted Megan Cohen to General Counsel and Corporate Secretary and the retirement of Chief Legal Officer Janet Angstadt in early July. Cohen will work closely with Angstadt, OCC’s Board of Directors and Management Committee to facilitate a smooth transition of responsibilities. Since joining OCC in 2014, Ms. Cohen has served in several roles of increasing responsibility within the organization. Most recently, she was Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary leading OCC’s corporate governance functions, advising OCC’s Board and management on regulatory issues and overseeing the regulatory rule filing process with the SEC, CFTC, and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. 

GoldenSource, an independent provider of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, has appointed Swati Tyagi as Chief Product Officer, based in New York. Tyagi brings product strategy, business analysis and management skills to the role, on top of 20 years of marketplace apps, governance risk & compliance, financial services and investment research experience. Tyagi joins GoldenSource from financial intelligence platform Sentieo (recently acquired by Alphasense), where she was Vice President, leading product management. 

ASX has appointed Darren Yip as its new Group Executive, Markets. Yip is a highly-skilled executive who brings more than 20-years’ experience in global financial markets with a background in prime brokerage and equity markets. Having spent 12 years leading teams in the Asia Pacific from his base in Hong Kong, Mr Yip was most recently with Morgan Stanley as Managing Director and Co-Head of Prime Brokerage from 2013 to 2021. 

Octaura has appointed Howard Cohen as Head of Leveraged Loan Execution. Cohen brings over 25 years of sales and leadership expertise in fixed income markets and has spent most of his career trading and managing large scale loan portfolios with a focus on credit markets. He joins Octaura from MarketAxess where he held a similar role. 

Commodity Futures Trading Commission has appointed Ian McGinley as the agency’s Director of Enforcement. McGinley spent more than a decade as a prosecutor at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY), where he co-led the Complex Frauds and Cyber Crime Unit, and also served as a senior member of the Securities and Commodities Task Force, among other positions.
