TRADERS ON THE MOVE: Wolfe Trahan Launches Agency Trading Desk

Wolfe Trahan Securities, the broker-dealer affiliate of the research boutique, launched an agency trading desk in New York with five professionals. Three were previously with FBR Capital Markets: Mike Derby, Catherine Hare, and David Ramirez. Two were previously with Macquarie Capital: Matt Lahey and Jon Patria.

Frank Baxter joined Dahlman Rose & Co. in New York as a sales trader. He was previously a sales trader at Knight Capital Group.

Kevin Blair joined Penserra Securities as a sales trader in San Francisco. Blair was previously a sales trader with ThinkEquity, which shut down last year.

Stacy Kishpaugh joined Aegis Capital Corp. in New York as a sales trader. She held similar roles at Rodman & Renshaw and its predecessor firm, Hudson Securities. Rodman shut down its equities group last year.

Chris Beyer joined the trading department at Cantor Fitzgerald in New York. He was previously head of equities trading at Auriga Securities USA. The affiliate of the Spanish bank exited equities last year.

Steve Roy joined Citadel Securities as a manager on the firm’s over-the-counter trading desk. Based in Chicago, Roy was previously a trader at Raymond James & Associates in its financial institutions group. Roy spent 8 years as a trader at E*Trade Capital Markets.
