Arrivals at UBS, Mizuho, Morgan Stanley and Elsewhere

Roger Anerella joined UBS as head of global securities execution services. He was previously in charge of execution services at Merrill Lynch. He spent 13 years at Merrill, departing last year following a management shake-up that saw Ashok Krishnan take responsibility for global execution services.
Briton Ryan joined Mizuho Securities as head of trading and sales for U.S. exchange-traded funds. He previously held a similar position at Newedge USA before that firm shut down its cash equities and ETF desks last summer. Ryan spent three years at Newedge, according to a filing at the Financial Industry and Regulatory Authority. Before that he worked at Macquarie Capital, Morgan Stanley, and Deutsche Bank.

Roger Morel joined Morgan Stanley in its wealth management division. The equity sales and trading veteran spent 16 years on the trading side at Bear Stearns until that firm collapsed in 2008. He then joined Jesup & Lamont for two years, running equity trading and research sales. That firm shut down in 2010. After that Morel spent about a year at both Bluefin Trading/CCM and Guggenheim Securities, according to FINRA.
Ellen Greene joined the operations and technology group of the Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). She is a long-time exchange executive, having spent about 18 years at Nasdaq and the American Stock Exchange. Greene spent 13 years at Nasdaq, most recently as a senior sales executive in Nasdaq’s transaction services group. Before that, she spent nearly five years at Amex in its listings business.
Val Sanchez joined retail broker-dealer Park Avenue Securities, a unit of Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. Sanchez was a veteran in broker-dealer sales, spending 11 years at UBS and Schwab Capital Markets.
Neda Shojai joined retail brokerage Transamerica Financial Advisors/World Financial Group in its New York office. Previously, she was with an international trade organization. Shojai spent about 11 years as a sales trader, ending her career in 2010 at Collins Stewart. Before that she was a sales trader at Merriman Curhan Ford & Co., Moors & Cabot, and Goldman Sachs.
