A new survey has ranked Liquidnet number one for operational performance in the United States for the fourth year in a row.

The 2011 McLagan Z/Yen Survey of buyside firms also gave Liquidnet the top honors for core processing of domestic equities, core processing of international equities and client management.

"We are pleased to receive this recognition from the institutional investment community," said Michael Cetrangola, head of member services at Liquidnet, in a statement. "We are deeply committed to delivering the best value and experience for our members throughout the entire trading process."

James Pitcher, vice president of the McLagan consulting group that runs the survey, said buyside respondents recognized Liquidnet for providing customer support and services that meet their needs.

Results from Z/Yen's annual survey were based on interviews with 47 leading buyside financial firms in the U.S. In addition, the consulting group interviewed 51 buyside firms in Europe, where Liquidnet also ranked number one for operational performance.
