ON THE MOVE: Deutsche Nabs Huchro; Goldman Names CDO

Deutsche Bank said in a statement that Paul Huchro will join this week in the firm’s New York office to run global  investment-grade credit trading. He will also be head of high-yield credit trading in the US and Europe. Huchro spent three decades at Goldman Sachs, where he was named a partner in 2008 and led the Wall Street bank's US credit trading team. Deutsche Bank has hired 21 people to work in its European investment grade bond sales, trading and research businesses during the past 18 months, the bank added, while in the US, it has taken on 19 new staff in the same business over that period.

Conversely, Jeff Wecker has returned to Goldman Sachs as its new chief data officer. Wecker came from Bridgewater Associates where he served as head of front office transformation and will focus on the bank’s information and data strategy, business intelligence and commercialization. He will report to John Madsen and Ezra Nahum. Earier in his career, Wecker spent 11 years at Goldman from 1984 to 1995, according to his LinkedIn page.

Citigroup has hired Kris Hopkins, a former Bank of America Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan derivatives trader, to run futures execution in Singapore. Hopkins reports to Kevin Zolkiewicz, Citigroup’s head of futures execution for Asia Pacific.

Cowen announced that Drew Forman, Managing Director, Head of Derivatives Sales and Trading and Evan Karp, Director of Derivatives Sales and Trading, recently joined the firm’s Derivatives Sales and Trading team. Forman and Karp are responsible for further expanding Cowen’s institutional derivatives capabilities and report to Kyle Solomon, Managing Director of Alternative Equity Strategies.

Prior to Cowen, Forman was Managing Partner, Co-Head of Sales and Trading at Macro Risk Advisors (MRA) where he helped run the firm’s trading desk. Before joining MRA in 2012, he was a senior derivatives trader at Nomura Securities. In addition, he previously worked as a derivatives trader at JP Morgan.

Karp most recently worked as a sales trader at Macro Risk Advisors where he served as an execution touchpoint in the areas of index and equity options as well as cash and ETF products.  Prior to working at MRA, Karp worked in Institutional Equity Sales at BMO Capital Markets and was also a Sales Executive at SNL Financial.
