It’s that time of the year again.
Markets Media Group, publishers of Traders Magazine, have officially opened this year’s nomination process for the third annual Markets Choice Awards: Women in Finance. The event kicks off Markets Media Week on November 7, 2017.
The formal awards ceremony will be held Tuesday, November 7.

In the spirit of the annual Markets Choice Awards and Traders Magazine's Wall Street Women Celebration, the WIF program will recognize some of the most talented and accomplished women in multiple categories across buy-side and sell- side trading desks, institutional investors, hedge funds, exchanges and technology providers. Nominees are first put forth by readers of MarketsMedia.com and TradersMagazine.com, and shortlists and winners and determined by the editorial staffs of the two platforms, in conjunction with the WIF Advisory Board. As with our five-year-old Markets Choice Awards franchise, our methodology in selecting nominees and then winners for Women in Finance is simple yet thorough, and keeps the focus on the important opinions: those of market participants, not ours.
There were more than 20 award winners last year. Categories include Lifetime Achievement, Rising Star, Excellence in Market Structure, Individual Achievement, Excellence in FinTech, Excellence in Trading, and Excellence in Investment Management.
Last year’s event, held at Tao Downtown in Manhattan's trendy Meatpacking District, convened more than 250 market professionals from institutional investment firms, hedge funds, trading desks at the biggest global banks, exchanges, and technology providers.
