ON THE MOVE: ITG Hires a Pair; Nomura Hires EMEA Head

Execution broker ITG hired a pair of traders. First, John Emmert will join the firm this week as a Director on the Global Portfolio Trading team, based in New York. Emmert is a 20-year trading veteran with strong client relationships, most recently working for 10 years as a Director in the Global Program Sales & Trading group at Deutsche Bank Securities. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Emmert worked in program sales trading roles at Société Générale, Susquehanna International Group, BNP Paribas and Bankers Trust, all based in New York.

Also onboarding is Sean O’Meara as a Director of ETF Trading. O’Meara is a 14-year trading veteran with deep industry knowledge and charged with growing the US ETF team and sales effort. He worked most recently in ETF trading at Abel Noser and also spent 9 years at J.P. Morgan, including as Executive Director of marketing making U.S. listed ETFs. O’Meara started his career at Morgan Stanley before moving on to J.P. Morgan where he helped build their ETF business. He is based in New York and joined ITG at the end of March.

AQMetrics reported that Breige Tinnelly has joined the firm as Head of Sales, U.K. Tinnelly oversees AQMetrics’ newest office based in London as the firm takes the next step in its ongoing strategic growth initiative. With over 20 years of experience, he was Senior Vice President at U.S. Bank and as Vice President of BNY Mellon. Tinnelly was previously a Managing Partner at Carlingford Capital Ltd, an advisory firm providing consulting services to private equity funds and asset managers.

LiquidityBook announced the addition of Les Vital as Head of Technical Sales. Vital, who brings over 15 years of capital markets experience, will work hand-in-hand with LiquidityBook’s sales, onboarding, product management and development teams. Vital joins from Broadridge Financial, where he spent six years as a project manager in its investment management solutions business. Prior to that he served in Eze Software’s business consulting group. He began his career at Morgan Stanley, working as both an operations and trading analyst. He reports to Sean Sullivan, Chief Revenue Officer.

Nomura has hired Fred Jallot as head of its global markets division in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to people familiar with the matter. He will join in the summer, one of the people said. Jallot spent the past decade with Citi, where he was most recently head of credit trading for EMEA.
