Futu Securities International (Hong Kong) Limited (“Futu Securities”), a leading online broker in China backed by Tencent, and Nasdaq (Nasdaq: NDAQ) announced that they have launched the Nasdaq TotalView market data feed in China.

For the first time, investors in China who trade U.S. equities will be able to use Futu’s proprietary Futu Niu app to access Nasdaq TotalView, which displays real-time full order book depth for market participants.

Nasdaq TotalView gives traders access to an order book that displays every single displayed quote and order at every price level in real time for Nasdaq, NYSE and regionally-traded securities. It allows traders to follow pockets of liquidity over time to see how orders are distributed throughout the market. It also provides access to Net Order Imbalance Indicator (NOII) data to understand true buy and sell interest, share imbalances, indicative clearing prices and sentiment leading up to open, close, and IPO auctions.

“Nasdaq is dedicated to increasing investor access to the world’s financial markets. We deeply value our work with Futu Securities to provide Chinese investors with free access to Level 1 real-time data for U.S. stock markets,” said Oliver Albers, Senior Vice President and Head of Strategic Partnerships for Nasdaq’s Global Information Services. “Now Futu Securities is the first online broker to offer TotalView access for U.S. equities to give investors in China all of the information they need to bring their active trading to the next level.”

"Since we founded our business in 2012, we have always focused on improving the overall investment experience and empowering individual investors by constantly introducing new technology that meets user needs,” said Mr. Li Hua, the founder of Futu Securities. “By launching Nasdaq TotalView, we are providing our users with yet another tool to improve their trading capabilities. We are especially pleased that Nasdaq has recognized us as a trusted and secure platform with which they can partner in China. We will continue to adhere to this spirit of innovation to improve the opportunities and capabilities of people in China who want to invest in overseas equities.”

Currently, equity trading apps in China only provide Level 1 quotes for U.S. stocks. As one of the leading fintech companies in China that provides brokerage services for Hong Kong and U.S. stocks, Futu Securities and Nasdaq will now enable Chinese investors to access the same tools used by the biggest professional investors around the world.
