Industry Opposes Early Opening

Don't open the New York Stock Exchange earlier than its current time of 9:30 a.m. That was the message delivered in a Traders Magazine survey that included more than 500 responses. Exactly 68 percent were either strongly opposed or opposed to an earlier opening. Maybe not surprisingly, answers from the buyside (181 responses) and sellside (226 responses) mirrored each other throughout the survey on a percentage basis.
