Traders Pull Together for Wings Over Wall Street

Traders want to help find a cure for ALS, a condition known as Lou Gehrig's Disease which has struck friends of the Wall Street community. Traders launched the latest campaign at Nasdaq's MarketSite last month, to raise funds and awareness. The fundraisers include the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Wings Over Wall Street event on Sept. 22 at New York's Marriott Marquis, as well as "guest bartender evenings." The MDA event co-chairwomen, Lisa Utasi and Mary McDermott-Holland, encouraged the overflow crowd at the MarketSite in Times Square to remember the victims of ALS, including the late Mike Beier and Toni Diamond.

MDA official, Erin Gayron, told Traders Magazine: "With the generous support of the trading community, this year's event will dramatically bring us one step closer to a cure."
