An Activist Moves to Frontier

Institutional trading advocate Holly Stark has moved to Efficient Frontiers LLC, a market consultancy, as a full-time managing member. Stark had been working at Kern Capital Management for five years. She had been serving as director of trading and a principal. She has also served on various advisory committees of the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq.

Efficient Frontiers was begun as a transatlantic venture. It was launched by Doug Atkin, a former Instinet CEO, and Richard Kilby, a former London Stock Exchange executive who had also worked for virt-x. Benn Steil, a senior fellow of the Council on Foreign Relations, and former UBS Securities executive John Woodman, also helped found Efficient Frontiers. It provides strategic consulting for exchanges, brokers and others.
