The Next NYSE Liquidity Plan

The New York Stock Exchange is seeking Securities and Exchange Commission approval on a plan that could bring much needed vitality to its LiquidityQuote. The exchange wants to make stocks in the S&P 100 and the financial sector components of the S&P eligible for participation in this institutional product. At the same time, the NYSE wants to commence a six-month pilot program under which a LiquidityQuote published for at least 15 seconds could be accessed by an InstitutionalXpress order - without specialist or crowd intervention.
