Uniform Trading Rules

By Gregory Bresiger

Nasdaq is asking the regulators for uniform trading rules of its stocks, but the regulator may have expanded the debate. On Nasdaq's petition to amend trading rules across all markets, the Securities and Exchange Commission submitted an addendum to the comment period. The SEC is requesting comment in the Nasdaq petition "on whether the same actions would be appropriate for the regulation and trading of exchange listed securities." The comment period on the Nasdaq petition will go for 30 days once the petition is published in the Federal Register.
