Garden State Recruits Chase Equity Veteran

By Editorial Staff

Equity trading veteran Don Sward has joined the State of New Jersey Investment Division as a senior equity trader.

Sward, who joined the firm this past summer, trades both listed and Nasdaq securities for the state of New Jersey pension funds.

Sward joined Chemical Bank's trading desk in 1970 and worked there until the merger with Chase Bank in 1996. Sward then continued working under Terry W. Goodwin at Chase Asset Management until the firm moved equity trading to Texas last year.

"The State of New Jersey is very fortunate to have a seasoned trader like Don, someone with great relationships on the Street," said Jack Jacknowitz, chief trading officer at the State of New Jersey Investment Division. "We want to capitalize on those relationships."
