STA's Blumenthal Joins Charles Schwab

By Jeffrey L. Winograd

Stephen Blumenthal, counsel and legislative liaison to the Security Traders Association in Washington for the past two years, has joined the staff of one of Wall Street's largest discount brokers.

Blumenthal was recently named vice president at Schwab Capital Markets and Trading, a unit of San Francisco-based Charles Schwab Corp.

In his new post as a political analyst, Blumenthal will follow the evolution of financial-service regulation and legislation, and will provide research for Schwab clients. He will remain in Washington. He assumed his new post on December 1.
