A: Sure. Anytime a stock’s price doesn’t really reflect its true value is an arbitrage opportunity, especially if it’s likely the price will return to where it should be soon. Merger rumors, earnings anticipation, executive changes are all “news” events that could create price movement in a stock and create an arbitrage opportunity.
